Vic Masters Tri Series Challenge Race 3 – Sunday 5th May

posted in: Latest News

Geelong Surf Coast  overcame a 34 point deficit to Northern heading into the final race of the series to come out comfortably on top on home territory (182 points) with Eureka taking second place (87points) and Northern third (69 points).

For the last race of the series 41 Northern riders made the journey out past Geelong and although the only podium getter was Trevor Coulter with a 3rd place in B grade, Northern was well represented in the first 8 place points across most grades (A-F) of a packed field of more than 120 riders.

Thanks to the efforts of all Northern riders across the 3 races our club was able to significantly improve its tally over last years distant last place and end up in 2nd position overall.

This was in no small part to Northern members prepared to travel in larger numbers to Ballarat and Geelong to pick up points just for competing.

The overall points tally after the third race was Geelong – 385 points, Northern – 306 points and Eureka 283 points.

Well done to all who took part in this years series to represent Northern and look forward to another competitive series next year.
