Following a call from Frank Lees, Albert Rain was informed that Ian Brown had passed away earlier in the week.
Ian was a foundation member of Northern Veterans Cycling Inc and was a staunch supporter of our club.
He was also a life member and past president following on from Bill Morris.
Ian’s wife Sue stated that they were watching television and he quietly passed away.
There will be no funeral and a memorial by invitation is planned.
Rest in peace, fellow cyclist.
