After a forced cancellation last year, the annual Northern v Eastern Tour de Metro winter four-race series is back, kicking off this Saturday 10 July with the first graded scratch battle on Eastern’s home turf at Yarra Glen at 2pm.
This is a terrific series with our friends at Eastern and, although competitive, is always held in good sporting spirit. Having said that, Northern is the current holder of the perpetual trophy and we intend to retain it in 2021!
Entries are now open to members only at the following Entry Boss link Tour de Metro Race 1 – Yarra Glen – EntryBoss
This will assist in grading and team captains in preparing tactics. Once we have an idea of entries, the team captains will aim to look at the Entry Boss start list for their respective teammates and start sharing ideas on the day.
Team captains are:
A Grade: Mark Seddon,
B Grade: Angelo Gasparini and David Rooke
E Grade: Tanya Simpson
F Grade: Jo Read
If you are interested in being a team captain for C or D Grades, please contact Tanya Simpson.
There are aggregate points awards for men and women across the series. Please get support this event if you can – the more the riders the merrier.
This Saturday’s course is on the corner of Glenview Rd and Symonds St, Yarra Glen.
