No racing on the Northern calendar this Easter but there’s plenty of racing being offered by our friends at Eureka Cycling Club who have resurrected the South Pacific Championships with two days of racing over 4 and 5 April. Further information is available on theĀ Eureka website.
In the meantime, the most coveted race on our calendar, the 77km Top Tech Panels Benghazi Handicap at Lancefield on Anzac Day, Sunday 25 April, has so far attracted 85 riders from AusCycing clubs all over the state. Entries will be capped at 120 riders and are being taken on Entry Boss.
Thanks to the generosity of club member Nick Nomikos from Top Tech Panels, this race has total prize purse of more than $3000.
In the lead up to the Benghazi is Northern’s 45th Anniversary – Gate Opening Systems Handicap on Sunday 11 April at our Lancefield circuit 64km (2 laps of the small loop 32km), proudly sponsored by our club member Michael Borowski through his business Gate Opening Systems. Entries now open.
The final club race before the Benghazi Handicap will be graded scratch races at the Kinglake circuit on Sunday 18 April.
Stay safe over Easter everyone!
