Northern’s Tamara Riddell has placed third in a VVCC open event for the second week in a row after a terrific ride in the 58km Eureka Vets Ron Rivette Classic at Learmonth on Sunday, behind winner Gerard Hickey (Colac) and second placed Chris Shay (Geelong). Noel Said placed 10th.
Darren Roberts completed the course in the fastest time of 1:22:27, at an average of 42.2kph. Well done to all Northern members who raced on Sunday. Full results are available on the VVCC website.
Despite the low numbers there was good racing at National Boulevard on Saturday afternoon in slightly windy but sunny conditions. A special mention to Kevin Russell who hasn’t raced for a while – he made his comeback by winning B Grade. Thanks to everyone for coming out and to those who volunteered to cook the barbecue and other vital roles!
