Despite the sketchy weather forecast that may have impacted on final numbers there were still 6 teams that took on the 15 lap Northern Cycling Team Time Trial at National Boulevard on Sunday with secret handicapping from Bruce Logan deciding the overall winners.
Congrats to the all ladies team (Team 4) of Kathryn Kennedy, Phoebe Symes, Clare Vigers and Stephanie Young that took out the overall win with an 8 min handicap and average speed of 37.5 km/h.
Next up was Team Northerns Express also off 8 mins that comprised George Goodrope, Kaz McMurray, Michael Sinni and president Vince Sinni with a 35.8 km/h average speed.
In 3rd place was the 5 man ‘Team Henryk ‘ of Gerald Bloore, Simon Bol, Michael Deans, David Drew and Henryk Herbec off 11 mins with an average speed of 33.5 km/h
Shout out to the scratch team of Tim Anderson, Aaron Christiensen, Luke Markof and Paul Stamer who put in the fastest average speed of the day of 43 km/h.
