Rains spoils return to racing

posted in: Latest News

Numbers were low at National Boulevard on Sunday morning as wet conditions spoiled the long-awaited return to racing with the majority of the 61 entries opting to scratch.

Well done to all those who turned up and braved the rain, rolling around a very wet course. However, the weather didn’t dampen the spirits and there were smiles all round.

Congratulations to the following riders who had a win in their grades: “A”-Brodie Sims (new member), “C” – Terry Hodges, “D”- Amy Benham ,”E”- Allison Watt and no results in “B” grade as all riders were deemed to be having a nice leisurely Sunday ride.

Thank you to all our volunteers who made racing possible.

It’s great to be back racing. Graded scratch races will again be held at NB this Sunday 6 October under COVID safe conditions with no entry fee, no prize money and no presentations. No walks ups either please – entries strictly via Entry Boss
