Northern (113 pts) has a 41-point lead over Eastern (72) after the second race of the Tour de Metro four-race winter series at National Boulevard.
Winter sunshine and some relief from the relentless wind resulted in an excellent turn out of 97 riders across all six grades, with B and C grades both leading the way with 31 riders.
Northern took out the aggregate points 56 to Eastern 34 points, giving Northern an overall lead of 41 points after race two of the series.
A huge thank you to all attendees – riders and volunteers – for obeying all the COVID rules in place.
We hope to get more information out soon about the remaining two Tour de Metro races that need to be rescheduled, after being cancelled by lockdown.
