A very successful day for Northern at the Layard Park Geelong Open 65km Handicap on Sunday with six of our riders in the top 10.
Darren Roberts was the winner and got fastest time. Michael Borowski was third with Scott Riddell, Steve Baxter, Luke Medhurst and Tony Giuliano all in the top 10. Full results are still to be posted on the VVCC website.
Northern won the team aggregate for 2016 and Tamara Riddell won the women’s aggregate with Geelong’s Bill Long taking out the men’s aggregate.
A fantastic contingent of 41 riders represented Northern at this final VVCC open race for the year which attracted 120 starters. Congratulations to everyone who achieved success on Sunday and throughout the year and well done to everyone who finished yesterday’s race in tough, gale force winds.
