It was a cold but sunny morning that greeted a hardy contingent of riders across 5 grades on Sunday morning. With the rain gone the air still had a generous helping of winter chill and not many riders were brave enough to remove the warmers and long sleeves.
The start line was a mixed affair with 2 punctures on the start line delaying both D and B grades. D grade was further reduced to a single rider after more untimely punctures.
E grade was an orderly procession with all riders staying together apart from one who was dropped a few laps from the finish.
B grade was trying to stay warm in a tight bunch leaving the sprinters to fight it out on the line with Luke besting Luke in the sprint.
A grade saw Tim Anderson go on rhe attack spending 20 min solo off the front being chased, only to be caught and dropped spending 10 min off the back chasing. The bell lap saw him catch the bunch and attack again but eventually it was another day for the sprinters with Scott Gregory taking a clear win.
