It was a back straight finish into a fresh Northerly in clear mild conditions for the members only graded crit racing at National Boulevard.
In A grade Matt Carmichael broke away on lap 18 and finished well clear of the rest of the A grade field where Simon Whelan outlasted Scott Gregory in a race to the line for 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In B grade John Hiatt launched a long range power sprint from the bottom corner final turn to gap the remainder of the field and cross a few seconds ahead of Garry Clively and Ross Clark.
In C grade Melvin Elias won by a bike length over Craig Frost who just edged out Angelo Pagano following a surgy race courtesy mostly from John McKinnon who launched multiple break away attempts frequently joined by Kaz McMurray & David Rooke.
D grade welcomed new member Bronwyn Morris who started impressively by taking out 2nd behind John Short with Ken Durham finishing in 3rd place.
Following the post race presentations at National Boulevard many of the riders and officials headed for Gate Opening Systems for the annual AGM and award presentations with those remaining enjoying a spit roast lunch and salads.
