Northern Criterium at National Boulevard on Sunday on 1st June 2025

posted in: Latest News

The first day of winter saw a decent field of 51 compete across grades A – E under blue skies but chilly windy conditions with a quick downhill finish with the strong Northerly.

Not a big race report this week just some notable call outs namely good break away wins in B and C grade from Fergus Fitzwater and Michael Love respectively and Luke Poyser grabbing 3rd in his first outing in A Grade.

Riders were also treated to free cokes courtesy of Tom McDonough at the conclusion of the races in honour of the recently passed Bill Sherrifs who was a big coke fan. Thank you Tom for that nice gesture.

Also thanks as usual to all the officials, volunteers and marshals for todays racing.

Next weekend is the long weekend and there is a break from racing before we head back to National Boulevard to do another round of crits so until then ride safe and good luck to those competing in other events.
