Starting in May onwards all riders will be required to return their blue transponder and race number back to Tony Gherxi. As the blue transponders subscriptions will be expiring on October the 31st. Northern Cycling members who have a blue transponder will be required to return their race number and blue transponder at a Northern Cycling race or through the mail to Tony.

Northern Cycling will pick up the costs to add more subscriptions into the blue transponders, Tony will also be checking the battery life on the blue transponder and checking the race number on our transponder spread sheet is issued to the correct financial member. Once Tony has completed the blue transponder resubscription it will then be returned to the rider at their next race.

Failing to return the blue transponder and race number in the period from 7th of May to the 22nd of October, blue transponder resubscription cost will then be charged to the financial member who has the issued blue transponder. Lost race number or blue transponder will also be charged a fee.
Blue Transponder – $55.00
Race Number – $10.00

Members who have not renewed their membership and have a blue transponder kit  could you please return all your kit back at an Northern Cycling race or mail it to Tony at 90 Bayview rd, Yarraville 3013. Non – members who have an red transponder kit, could you please only return back the race number to Tony or at a Northern race. Note the club policy is permanent kits are only to be issued to Northern Cycling members.

We also would like to thank our club members who have recently returned their blue transponder kits back to the club and are now getting issued  a visitors transponder kit at registration and returning it back after racing which seems to be working well.

Once we start the program in May then we will start issuing blue transponder kits to our members who are racing consistently with our club.

Members who cannot commit to doing at least ten races at our club in a racing year period, would be better off racing with one of our visitors kit.
