This Sunday 13 October is race two of the interclub series with our friends from Eureka – the 55km Mary Tams Memorial Handicap at East Trentham.
Racing starts at 10am with five laps of this circuit – entries are now open through EntryBoss and close at 11.59pm this Thursday 10 October.
Riders from other VCV clubs are also more than welcome to join us, including members who have recently taken out the three month membership from 1 October to 31 December 31 2019.
Previous winners of this prestigious event have been 2018 Bill Gordin; 2017 Simon Bol; 2016 John Hasouras and 2015 Darren Roberts (Darren has also taken out the fastest time in all of these years).
Mary, wife of our Harry, was a long time member of the club who dedicated many hours over many years to make sure race day went smoothly. Mary took entries, handed out numbers, made sure tail lights were functional and helmets done up. She is missed by many and we race each year in her memory.
