Good turn-out for new Gisborne circuit

posted in: Latest News

Perfect conditions on Sunday for our first race on the new out-and-back circuit at Gisborne South with good fields across all grades.

Winners were Troy Jordan in A grade; Liam Oliver in B; trial rider Sandy Woolly was first across the line in C but the official placing went to Steven Toogood; Vincent Duffus won D and Patrick Ruys won in E.

In other highlights Sandy and Brian Mark had trial rides with us; new member Trevor Redman rejoined Northern after many years and was reunited with his old racing mate Tommy Gray and Jo Read got back on her bike for a short roll after many months battling injury. https://results.sporthive.com/events/PC1627599

We are pleased to report that Club champ Darren Roberts has been released from hospital and is recovering at home after coming off his bike when he hit an object on the road last week.

He has a broken finger, pinched nerves in his neck and scratches but will make a full recovery – apparently so will his bike! We look forward to seeing him back racing when he has recovered.
