Michael Borowski from Gate Opening Systems is supplying medals for placegetters in each grade for Sunday’s Phil Bramich Fundraiser graded scratch races at National Boulevard.
Entries are flooding in for this special event to raise funds for former Club Champ Phil Bramich who was involved in a horrendous fall late last year. Phil is still wearing a halo brace to protect his injured neck – his recovery will be slow and he will be unable to work for some time.
This event is also proudly supported by Troy Jordan from Cycle House who is offering a free bike service (value $99) to the winner in each grade, as well as items for the raffle. Anyone else who would like to contribute items for the raffle can contact Secretary Tony Gherxi.
As an added highlight, this year’s A grade VCV State Criterium champion, Matt Bowman from Eureka, has already thrown out the challenge for our A grade boys and will attempt to make it three wins in a row at National Boulevard in support of Phil.
There will be no prize money awarded on the day – all proceeds will be donated to Phil’s Go Fund Me page, which has already raised more than $10,000. Phil and his family are very grateful for all the generous donations received to date. https://www.gofundme.com/phil-bramich-fundraiser
