Thirty-eight Northern members competed in race two of the Tour de Metro series against 65 Eastern riders at National Boulevard this morning and despite some inspirational racing across all grades we are just behind our rivals in the points tally – Northern 149 to Eastern 205.
We took it right up to Eastern today and just got beaten by 94 points to 85.
Entries for the two remaining races, hosted by Eastern, can be made via Entry Boss or you can enter directly at Eastern race venues. If entering via Entry Boss, please do not make any payment – the race day entry fee of $10 will only be taken at the race venue.
Registration closes at 1.45pm sharp at Eastern venues, so please ensure you make your payment, pick up your race number and cap before the cut off time. By entering online will give Eastern an indication on our entries to help make registration run smoothly on race day.
Eastern has also requested when racing at their venues could you please wear a light coloured jersey for safety reasons.
We’re only halfway through the series and there is still a lot of racing to take place – let’s keep working hard to get more entries in all grades A to F and continue to show that Northern spirit. We also have three riders leading the individual aggregate points table.
