Big fields for crits at NB

posted in: Latest News

A girls breakaway from a 14-strong E grade field with two laps to go saw Northern women Jo Read, Allison Watt and new member Tanya Simpson (in her full race) take the podium places in one of the highlights of a great morning of racing at National Boulevard on Sunday.

In total, we had 58 riders across all grades A to E which included 4 trial riders.

Congratulations to our following winners:

  • A Grade – Mark Seddon (average speed 42.24)
  • B – Aaron Christiansen (39.84)
  • C – Craig Davis (37.75)
  • D- Henryk Herbec – (32.59)
  • E Jo Read (33.42). After seeing all those averages we might see E riders all racing in D grade next week, something for our handicapper Bruce Logan to think about with the E grade average speed higher than D grade.

Well done to everyone who competed  and a big thank you to all our volunteers who make our racing possible.

Next Sunday 16/2/20 we are back at National Blvd again with an intermediate sprint for all grades.

Good luck to the seven women members who will be racing in Race 1 of this year’s Conni Classic women’s series at Learmonth on Saturday hosted by Eureka in a field of 40 riders.
