A strong field of 115 riders representing 25 clubs from across Victoria will contest the coveted Top Tech Panels 77km Benghazi Handicap in Lancefield this Sunday, Anzac Day, starting with the limit bunch at 1pm.

The start list is being revised and the final version will be released on Friday night.

Registration will open at 11.30am at the Lancefield Recreation Reserve in the football club rooms. Race numbers will be issued out to all riders. Visiting riders will also pick up their transponder at registration.

All riders are required to attend a pre-race briefing. Bunches from 16:00 to limit MUST attend at 12:30pm. Bunches from Scratch to 12:00 MUST attend at 12:45pm. All riders must have a working tail light on solid.

There will be catering provided in the footy clubrooms after the race in a COVID-safe environment with hot food and sandwiches served over the counter.

Thanks to club supporters Troy Jordan and Mark Seddon from Cycle House who have kindly donated a $300 gift voucher, all competitors and volunteers at this race will all have their names put into the raffle draw for a chance to win.

A big thank you to our senior handicapper Bruce Logan and his two assistant handicappers Noel Said and Craig Harvey who put a lot of time and effort, working out all the riders start times.

And a huge shout out to our own Nick Nomikos from Top Tech Panels for his continued support of this event which is one of the richest races on the masters calendar.

Good luck to all riders who are racing this Sunday out at Lancefield!
