Although the roads were still damp and the conditions on the cool side it was a still and sunny morning that greeted the riders at National Boulevard for the days crits.
In A grade there were some punctures that took out some of the leading riders and it was Glen Grbesa who made a solo break with a couple of laps remaining that stuck to take out the win ahead of sprinters Luke Poyser and Matt Carmichael respectively.
B grade was constantly being tested with break attempts and counter attacks throughout the race with Agostino Giramondo eventually being rewarded and getting away with around 4 laps remaining and was then joined by Garry Clively to win comfortably ahead of Dennis Markouris who launched a blistering run to easily take out the bunch sprint after a trademark early attack by Ross Clark into the final turn.
No intel on the remaining grades but for C grade it looked like a very tight bunch finish for the first 4-5 based on MyLaps. For any other reports drop them in the comments or send them in on Messenger if you want them added in.
(Please reach out to Vince Sinni if you see your name against a dead transponder so we can organise a replacement)
Thanks to all the usual suspects for the officiating and the setup for the days racing and look forward to seeing another good showing next week at National Boulevard with entry open now here: https://entryboss.cc/races/28800
