Numbers down but still on top after Race three

posted in: Latest News

Numbers were down but Northern holds onto a 32 point lead over Eastern after race three of the Tour de Metro at the Gruyere course in the Yarra Valley on Saturday.

A total of 27 riders made the trip out east, but what we lacked in numbers we made up for with podium finishes in every grade keeping us on top of the points table – 166 to 134  – despite Eastern winning the day by eight points.

There were wins to Terry Hollibone in C, Alex Muhia in D and Kellie Murphy in E grade, while Michael Borowski placed third in A grade and Troy Morgan third in B.

We will need to come out in force at Yarra Glen next Saturday for the last race in the series if we are going to bring the trophy home.
