Limit rider Stacey Hatton off 41 minutes rode strongly to easily win Sunday’s Merle Jamieson Memorial Handicap at Lancefield sponsored by Larkscapes Communication and Design.
Second was David Watts (15.30 mins) and third John Hasouras (19 mins). Fastest time was scratch rider Michael Borowski in 1:27:50.
We had a great turnout for this annual handicap race in memory of Merle who was a greater contributor to our Club for many years. Merle’s sister Audrey came along for presentations, as did Life Member Norm Creed who was unable to make it to our recent presentation night.
Thanks to all our volunteers for making the race possible. Our last race for the year is crits at NB on Sunday 18th followed by a barbecue.
