Middle-marker Noel Said (14 mins) was the winner of the secret handicap held as part of the club and age championships at Lancefield last weekend – presentations were made at National Boulevard this morning. David Watts also off 14 mins was second and Simon Bol (23 mins) third.
Conditions were perfect for graded scratch races this morning with strong fields and good racing across all grades. Winners were Darren Roberts (A), Kevin Russell (B), Nick Nomikos (C), Tommy Gray (D), Ian Buckingham (E) and Frank Lees (F).
It was a very social morning with the new owner of the café putting on a barbecue which was very well received. Sam has a lot of changes planned, including separate men’s and women’s loos, so we look forward those in coming weeks.
