New member Glenn wins at Kyneton

posted in: Latest News

New member Glenn Johnston, racing off 21 minutes, was the winner of the Jim Pritchard Memorial Handicap in tough and windy conditions at Kyneton on Sunday. This race was an intraclub event with our friends from Central Victorian Veterans Cycling Club and attracted a strong field of 64 riders.

Second place went to Northern’s Tom Farran (18 mins) and third to Central rider Chris Eddy (8 mins). Fastest time went to Northern’s Mark Seddon.

This was a good hit out for many on the challenging Pastoria circuit with our Club Champs (5 April) and the 41st annual Benghazi Open Handicap on Anzac Day (25 April) both being held on this course because of roadworks on our Lancefield circuit.

Thank you to all riders from both clubs for supporting this race in memory of Jim Pritchard.

Also a big thank you to our club member Robert Jackson for his sponsorship and all our volunteers who made this race possible.
