Northern scooped the prize pool in the Tour de Metro interclub series against Eastern Vets taking the men’s, women’s and teams trophies after the fourth and final race at Yarra Glen on Saturday.
In the women’s points race, a win in F grade saw Jo Read take the championship trophy by a narrow margin over Jan Williamson. Jo accrued 18 points over three races.
It was a grand slam for Terry Hollibone who won all four races in D grade to earn 40 points and take home the trophy.
And Northern won the teams trophy with a total of 449 points over Eastern’s 372 at the end of the series.
Well done to everyone who took part in the series which attracted 152 different riders from Northern, Eastern and four other clubs.
