Bruce Logan a life member

posted in: Latest News

Our club handicapper Bruce Logan was inducted as a Northern Cycling Life Member at our presentation night at the Glenroy RSL on Friday night.

Other highlights included guest speaker Anna Davis who had us enthralled with the story of her UCI one hour world record in her age group set in March this year. Not completely happy with this year’s effort, Anna is going to try to better it in March 2018.

It’s fair to say that Stacey Hatton had a successful outing taking home a swag of trophies including the 2017 Women’s Club Champion, the Mary Tams Award for the Most Improved Female Rider, and the Handicap Aggregate Award. John ‘Shorty’ Short, who came third in this year’s VVCC aggregate was award the Harry and Mary Tams Award for the Most Improved Rider and won the criterium aggregate awards.

It was another enjoyable, social evening with lots of prizes thanks to our generous sponsors and lots of laughter. Thanks to everyone who came along to support the night and to the hard-working committee members – particularly secretary Tony Gherxi – who made the night possible.
